Launch of the project at Sree Sankara Oriental Higher Secondary School, Lakkidi.

Project SMART was launched at Sree Sankara Oriental Higher Secondary School, Lakkidi on 6-11-2014 at 10 am. This is the fifth school to implement the project. The programme started off with prayer.Smitha P.K faculty in Hindi welcomed all. Presidential address was given by Murali.N ( Principal- in -charge) followed by the launch of the project by Rajan Namboothiripad ( Manager of the school).Deepa V.S , Faculty in English introduced the project. After that Anil Mathew was honoured by Mr. Babu Moideenkutty ( Vice President, PTA). And then Anil Mathew explained the project and the philosophy behind it. Sankara Narayanan ( Head Master, Sree Sankara Oriental HS), Bindu(Member of PTA), Pravitha (Faculty in Commerce) and Archana (Student Representative) offered their felicitation. The formal function ended with the vote of thanks by Geetha .M.N (Resource Person in English, Palakkad District).
                          After the formal function Anil Mathew, founder of the Project SMART gave a talk on Open Education to the learners.Videos explaining open education and creative coomons were screened along with animations released under creative commons license.

PMGHSS, PALAKKAD

                               Project SMART was launched at PMGHSS, Palakkad on 20-10-2014(Monday). Novelist Beena Govind (Mathrubhumi,Palakkad) launched the project. Smitha Mohandas, faculty in English welcomed all to the launch. Principal Ms.Leela.M.M spoke about the importance of self discipline while tapping the potentials of digital era. Beena Govind, launching the project said that one must always strive hard to improve the self and the society.

               A presentation on the project and open education was given by Anil Mathew, founder @ Project SMART.Students enjoyed short films on open education and creative commons. Short animations released under creative commons license were also screened during the launch. Programme ended with the distribution of promotional materials. This is our fourth school .

Govt. Higher Secondary School, Muthalamada, Palakkad, Kerala.

                      Govt. Higher Secondary School, Muthalamada became the third school to implement Project SMART on 17-10-2014. The project was launched by Anil Mathew, founder of Project SMART at 11 am. Principal Mr. Gokulkrishnan. K, faculty members and students were present during the launch. Principal welcomed all to the launch.

            After the launch Anil Mathew gave a presentation about the project and it was followed by the screening of open source movies. Faculty members Sushama. S and Shini. R spoke on the occassion. Student representative Divya proposed vote of thanks. Promotional materials were also distributed during the launch.

Project SMART launched at Government Oriental Higher Secondary School, Pattambi, Kerala

                     July 11, 2014 : Project SMART was launched at  Government Oriental Higher Secondary School, Pattambi. Function started off with solemn recital by Swapnika invoking Gods. Thereafter Project was launched by the principal Mr. Muhammed Mubarak. The function was presided by Mr. Sabarinadh faculty in English. In his presidential address Mr. Sabarinadh emphasized the use of ICT in education.
                   Anil Mathew, founder of the project shared his thoughts on various aspects of the project. He stated that knowledge should be made free and accessible to all learners. Faculty members Sahida, Bajisha and student representative Sreeraja also spoke on the occasion. Welcome speech was delivered by Anand and vote of thanks was proposed by Siyad. Distribution of logo stickers of the project to all the members of the audience marked the end of this function.
